Dr François Evans is a classically-trained composer, music producer, conductor and multi-award-winning university associate professor, with over thirty years’ teaching and music production experience. He has composed, conducted and produced many feature film scores, including the soundtrack to Edgar Wright’s first movie.
In 2013, in an abandoned nursery school in West France, he set up the Laboratoire Musical Phonoscopique (La.M.P.), a hybrid analogue/digital vintage recording studio, sporting a rare collection of vintage synthesisers. There he is currently completing work on his first album of pop ballads, under the name 'After Magritte'. He is a member of the new duo 'Buggy Park'. La.M.P is registered with the Association of Independent Music, UK.

Training at the prestigious Institute for Research & Co-ordination in Acoustics & Music (IRCAM) in Paris has enabled him to integrate ‘spectral’ studio composition techniques into his music. These open doorways into excitingly-expressive new sound worlds.
