Eduardo De La Paz is a mixer & producer originally from Guadalajara, Mexico now residing in London, UK. He has received 8 nominations to the Grammy + Latin Grammy for his mixing work, from which he has won 2 Grammy Awards and 1 Latin Grammy Award.
Eduardo graduated from Sound Technology at LIPA in 2011 and spent the formative years of his career working in several studios across the UK & learning under different producers. Most notably during his time as Craig Silvey's engineer, mix assistant & right hand man he was part of seminal albums by Arcade Fire, The National, New Order, Noel Gallagher, Paolo Nutini, Florence & The Machine, Goldfrapp, Yeah Yeah Yeahs which helped develop the skills & musical taste that define Eduardo nowadays.

Eduardo founded Tostada Studios in 2015 from where he continues to work with artists like The Big Moon, Matt Corby, Local Natives, The Horrors, Frightened Rabbit, Self Esteem, The Charlatans, Zoé, Siddhartha, Rae Morris, The KVB, Will Joseph Cook, Jesse & Joy, Peace, HMLTD, Portland, Drug Store Romeos, Porter, Friedberg, Malady, Walt Disco, among others.

A general view of the process of mixing a song. Covers topics like session prep, compression, equalisation, effects, and balancing (volume, panning & automation).
* Mix Breakdown Masterclass
A more in depth breakdown of an existing mix. With an open ProTools session of an existing mix, I can explain complex & intricate processes that happen during mixing. A more interactive & enriching way of understanding the mixing process as students can hear the “before & after” and explore the different avenues of mixing themselves.
* General Masterclass
A general masterclass of my journey through the industry so far. This covers personal experiences, obstacles, opportunities that have presented thus far. Followed by an extensive Q&A from the panel that opens up to any questions & doubts that they may have.
* Drum Mixing
A more detailed workshop that concentrates on mixing drums, multitrack mixing & drum effects.
* Vocal Mixing & Effects
A more detailed workshop that concentrates on mixing vocals, backing vocals and the effects used for them.
* Session Management & Organisation
A workshop that aims to emphasise the importance of file management & session organisation before, during & after the mixing process. This cover industry standard delivery requirements that students may encounter later in their path.
